Great to have Mr. Will Richard confirmed back! So, what's the timeline on guys still testing the NBA outlook? I just saw an NBA draft ranking which had Clayton as the #97 pick.
Never mind, just saw that the window slams shut on May 29th to keep your college eligibility. So, next Wednesday.
Imagine Clayton was a portal pickup. He probably would have been the best portal pickup we could have dreamed of. I'm choosing to think of Micah that way. If he is able to play without issue, it's a bonus...like getting a 7 footer from the portal. In this case, one that already knows what we're doing.
Now that the roster appears to be filled, I'm updating the list. Kublickas may transfer out, but it feels like the roster is otherwise set. Projecting the depth chart will be fun. Does Klavzar take over the PG spot or will he be a sub? 1. Michah Handlogten - C 7'1" 2. Viktor Mikic - C 6'11" 3. Rueben Chinleyu - C C 6'10" 4. Sam Alexis - PF 6'8" 5. Alex Condon - PF 6'11" 6. Thomas Haugh - combo F 6'9" 7. Will Richard - SF 6'4" 8. Walter Clayton Jr. - SG 6'3" 9. Alijah Martin - SG 6'2" 10. Isaiah Brown - SG 6'4" 11. Denzel Aberdeen - PG 6'5" 12. Urban Klavzar - PG 6'1" 13. Kajus Kublickas - PG 6'2" (likely to transfer out?) -- Olivier Rioux - C (walk-on) Transfered Out Riley Kugel Alex Szymczyk
Was trying to put this in positional grouping, man there are going to be some battles, and coaching preferences with this group. My assumption is for guards/wings we start Martin/WCJ/Richard. when Richard comes out, players start moving around, Aberdeen is the next biggest Guard/wing, or go big with Haugh? (I think Haugh will be needed at the PF more than 3.) Klavzar looks like a scoring PG, KK more traditional. for the bigs, I think Alexis is the one I'd pick who is for sure going to start. Not sure who is next to him, Chinleyu or Condon? (Mikic isn't listed yet on floridagators.com, but probably redshirting)
