MAYBE Muschamp but idk. Could def argue that he couldn’t get a good OC because people knew he was on the hot seat. Defense and recruiting and the culture were great under muschamp. Literally just needed offense lol
Culture was great....the players said they loved him, but then there were odd days on the field they didn't give much effort....and this was before they knew he was going to be canned. He was thin-skinned and defensive with both media and fans. Recruiting was meh because he didn't recruit Offense well (almost no OL left for McElwain). Additionally he couldn't keep his fingers out of the O on game day so I'm not sure that the coordinator would have mattered. Personally I don't think he should have gotten a season 4, and they missed opportunities for a couple of good hires because they waited a year.
Some interesting names, but no home runs. Grading College Football's Head Coach Hires for 2013 | AthlonSports.com | Expert Predictions, Picks, and Previews
I’m got Toney and other coaches getting a proper audition before canning them but Napier has to be right because year three isn’t the time to start picking up the pieces, it’s time to be showing improvement and success. He doesn’t have to be winning ten games every year at that point but it’s hard to get a do over at that point.
Clown ended our bowl streak and lost to Ga Southern at home while his vaunted defense couldn’t stop a directional team that basically didn’t throw the ball. He was an embarrassment on the sideline. Muschamp got one more year than he deserved.
Sure. As if this year wasn’t enough evidence of what not having linebackers does to your defense. Muschamp was using walk on linebackers at that time, they were decimated by injury against a team that only runs. They literally had negative passing yard that game. Give me a break. And how was anything Muschamp did on the sidelines embarrassing? The players loved him. People are so freaking dramatic
Really avoiding answering the question, no? you mean losing? Or something specific action or behavior of his?
And in such a rage in refs' faces that he was spitting on them. And then complaining about adversity on the field.
Muschamp’s hair-on-fire schtick got old fast. And yet there were posters here who loved to write “Coach BOOM!”
