Sorry @gator_n_sc, but you have no path to the championship. The other scenarios should be clear after tonight's Texas Bowl.
I got outfoxed by Apex last season. We both had Bama covering over kansas St, but he went all in and I was a couple hundy behind. Let me guess - you and Apex either had OSU or GA. I think @RealtyGator outta be able to share the private picks at this point?
The way the Texas Bowl is going, the championship will come down to the Orange Bowl. If Georgia covers, then @ApexNC defends his title. If FSU beats the spread, then @bperkins10 wins the championship...
From the hints @RealtyGator gave, it sounds like @ApexNC went big enough on Georgia to cover you going all in. The only way I can win is if FSU covers. If that happens, the most I can get is 3860 points.
Here are my picks that I sent to @RealtyGator. Texas A&M (-2) vs. Oklahoma State - 500 Clemson (-4.5) vs. Kentucky - 500 Auburn (-7) vs. Maryland - 500 Georgia (-14.5) vs. Florida State - 250 Texas (-4.5) vs. Washington - 250
I'm still just trying to take it all in and come to grips that if I win- I lose and if I lose-I still lose. But there was nothing else I could do except go all in.
Well I was all over the score board this season and once again still came away as a bridesmaid. I was actually shooting to win both Realty's and Smooty's picks game in the same season and ascend to new Heights of pick'em lore.... lol. All kidding aside I'm now fighting to not lose the lead I've had for the last half of the season in that game and this game I may win and still just end up the 1st loser (2nd place). Lol. I was thinking about taking Missouri over OSU along with the UGA pick or just going all in on Mizzou only but I still think nothing is stopping UGA from drubbing FSU by 3 or 4 TD's So im not sure picking a less confident pick would have helped anyway because UGA is gonna make an example out of FSU. My only hope was you would make a safe bet with your points and I could squeak by. Well played friend , well played. Of course I'm not holding back next year.
What if Clemson, MZ, Auburn, GA, TN, WA, AL fail to cover and OSU + Penn State cover? That scenario, albeit improbable, would bump Apex, n_sc, berkins, Distant, and 954 way down. Probably no way FSU covers, but it seems there is a pathway for someone ranked as low as 6th to jump to the top. Chaos!
I think nine things need to happen for me to have a chance at first. One down baby! Need to drop Clemson MZ Auburn GA TN AL WA Need to cover OSU Penn St
