    KR = Key reserve.
Important note: OT transfer Kiyaunta Goodwin leaves school before the season when his mother becomes ill.

LT: Austin Barber- Started 8 games and was the full time starter in 2024.
LG: Richie Leonard- Last year at UF
OC: Kingsley Equakun- Started 4 games. Last year at UF.
OC: Jake Slaughter- Low 3* (85) 2021 recruit. 2nd lowest rated UF signee. Started 8 games. Starting 2024 OC, earning All American honors.
RG: Micah Mazzccua- One year at UF
RT: Damieon George- Started 10 games. Started 10 games at RG in 2024.
KR: Kamyrn Waites- Appeared in 8 games starting the last two games at RT.
KR: Lyndell Hudson: Appeared in 7 games with 2 starts. Late summer enrollee taking Goodwin’s scholarship spot.
KR: Knijeah Harris- As a true Fr. appeared in 12 games with one start. Starting LG in 2024.

Overview: Grade D. Pass protection was an F the last two games.

A complete mess of a year for the OL. Coming off a very good 2022 season, the OL fell apart in 2023. Team was average at OC/OG and bad at OT. Pass protection was all but nonexistent the last two games of the year. It started off bad when White, Braun and Tarquin transferred out. It was basically a one year delayed reaction from the HC change. Then got real bad when prized OT transfer Goodwin quit school when his mother became ill. The situation at OT was like the OGs in 2019, but worse, when Banks had to medically retire and Bleich left the team mid season.

George and Waites failed at OT. Leonard and Mazzccua were completely average at OG. The fall off at OG from 2022 (White/Torrence) was extreme. UF was completely uninterested in retaining Leonard/Mazzccua for 2024. Equakun wasn’t able to build off of a good 2022 because he suffered a high ankle sprain and only played in 4 hobbled games. All but a complete collapse from the 2022 OL breakout season.

Not all was lost, though. There were some good things. Barber showed he can play LT when healthy. After a bad 1st game, Slaughter established himself at OC and Harris flashed exceptional talent as a true Fr. The next season all three would build on their 2023 success. The start of a much better 2024 OL.

Big Eight Man Recruiting Class. Ended up being a 7 man class when Goodwin left school. Four HS recruits, 4/3 Transfers. One 5*, three 4*, three 3* and one 2*. 4 hits, 1 TBD and 3 no grade (NG)… Good rebound from 2022.

    Roderick Kearney OG/OC 4*. Recruiting grade: 94.
Caden Jones OT 4*. Recruiting grade: 90. TBD.
Knijeah Harris OG 3*. Recruiting grade: 88.
    Bryce Lovett OG/OT 3*. Recruiting grade: 87.
Kiyaunta Goodwin OT 5*. Recruiting grade: 98. Void- he quit school. NG.
    Damieon George OG/OT 4*. Recruiting grade: 89.
Micah Mazzccua OG 3*. Recruiting grade: 86.5. One year starter. NG.
Lyndell Hudson OT 2*. Recruiting grade: 77… He was a late addition as a one yr back up. He did his job. NG.

I can't really disagree with you on any of that. The name you were searching for was Tarquin, instead of Trautwein. Trautwein was a level above Tarquin when he played for UF. Some good things came out of that year for 2024, and the right moves were made on NIL to set up for 2024. We look set up right for 2025 with the moves made to retain starters.

    TY- corrected.

Yes, Trautwein was a very good Gator. I think he had a few years in the NFL. The last thing I read he's an OL coach in the B10.
