Georgia o line is one of the top teams in not allowing sacks this year. I think 8th in the country. The film review /stat gurus showed that no matter how many you bring, you don’t increase your chance of sacking Georgia qb. Be it 4,5,6 man rushes…none work well against Georgia all year.

interestingly, the lowest rating for Georgia qb is vs a 3 man rush, which I usually hate. Except Georgia has the same sack rate on 3,4,5, and 6 man rushes. So blitzing maybe not the best choice today.

 

To me it seems like the Gators call a trick play not because they see something and are keeping in their back pocket but because they want to prove they aren’t vanilla or because the analytics say they should be “unpredictable” and it comes off as a little forced.
