I'm hoping Miami gets sent to Vanderbilt so their fans will have to listen to the whistler and the whistler will have to listen to their fans. Match made in hell.

Just a wild guess to match them up....

    Wake Forest/South Carolina
    Florida/Indiana State
    Arkansas/Kentucky
    LSU/Alabama
    Clemson/Auburn
    Vanderbilt/Miami
    Stanford/Oklahoma State
    Virginia/Coastal Carolina

Yall can pick it a part all you want but I'm just trying to see if the NCAA can minimize the conference matchups somehow. SC to UF or WF is doable if they want to keep SC from coming to Gainesville. Seems as if SC might be the 16th seed anyway. Ind State is a long haul but so is anyone that has to go to Stanford. Ultimately the rest of the 64 team field might have something to say with these potential matchups from happening. A good argument for the SEC against the NCAA matching SEC teams up might be if they don't match Miami up with another ACC school. If they have to match up Arky/UK and LSU/Bama then why don't they send Miami to Clemson or Virginia? Good conspiracy theorists always have a good argument ready.

I do like what your intent is here, but—

You’re basing your guess on the NCAA worrying about minimizing the conference matchups—they spend all of their time trying to put the SEC in as bad a light as possible.

Agree - ESPN overhypes the SEC in all sports, IMO, while the powers that be in the NCAA try to undermine us. But in baseball the power is obviously in the south and particularly in the SEC. They would normally pair us with Miami, but there's no way they can seed Miami low enough to make it happen this year. I truly hope it's a non-SEC foe just to play someone different. And that's assuming we don't lay an egg in our regional. It's happened a few times.

I don’t want a one seed which UF should not get anyway. A 3 or 4 or 5 seed range is fine.

And the reason lower seeds tend to to well in this tournament history wise is because it is just the nature of this particular sport. You can collectively hot at the right time and you have talent any team can make a run. Any pitcher can shut you down on any given day. I just want good weather.
