After this FNL weekend being at 16 commits, what is UF's limit for the remainder of the way?..... Thanks to anyone that answers. Much appreciated. GO GATORS!!!!
I wish I knew. I've seen where some people are expecting around 25 HS recruits in the upcoming class, as long as we stay at or below the 85 Scholly limit. So far, so good. The problem for me is how do we get down to a manageable roster number - prior to the early enrollment period in '23, (assuming we get a significant number of EQs) without cutting quite a few kids along the way. I went through the roster a couple of weeks back, and the number of graduating seniors is not very big at all (thank you very much Dan Mullen). I also don't know how circumspect/ruthless the staff and administration are willing to be when it comes to delivering the "sorry son, you just aren't Gator material" news to a pretty significant number of kids. If someone can provide a better, more encouraging overview of the situation, I would love to hear it.
This is part of elite college football program. Every year you have to be honest with some kids and tell some of them that they most likely won’t get playing time. They usually move on on their own. That’s why every successful major program over-signs. They anticipate the attrition. It’s an ugly part of the game, but it’s still part of the game.
That's true pretty every year, I suppose. But with the current logjam we have now, it's doubly true for '23. But I have confidence that CBN will act with intelligence and class, regardless of the difficult nature of that specific task. Life is like a prayer of sorts, sometime the answer comes back as a very disappointing no.
Up-to-date with Jaden Robinson's surprise commitment . . . which came on 8/10 just like the prediction from another recruit said.
