Interesting Wake, known as power hitting group, will win today using small ball. Bunted with runners on first and second and no outs to move both runners over and then a single up the middle scores both.

 

So far all three games played in this CWS haven’t been decided until the 9th inning. Well played to all teams, well done!

 

If we win tomorrow, we don't play again until Wednesday!

Huge advantage if we win tomorrow for our side of the bracket. Huge advantage for the finals if we win tomorrow and Wednesday.

 

…so you’re saying it’s generally advantageous, when engaged in a sporting contest, to be the victor? Mmmm. Big, if true.

 

What he was really implying is that if we lose we have a much longer and harder road to victory.

 

If we play LSU, I hope the pitcher isn’t Skenes, he looked like he could start in MLB, right now!
Wake Forest has a dominant closer. If we keep winning, we are going to have to earn it.

 

Cox internet and cable has been out all morning. They were out all afternoon yesterday. This was after "upgrading" the service in our area last Monday. LOL.

 

I can't believe we're actually playing baseball on Juneteenth weekend. Where are our priorities???!!!

 

If we play LSU it will be best of 3 and we will see Skenes in one of those games

I'm pulling for the Hoos! I mean - there is no Horned Frog cheer squad, right?

I really respect Virginia for how well they played against us including several base running situations where they could have created some contact with our players and did not. That's class right there!

In theory, they could have another shot against us. I wouldn't mind. They probably deserve it!

 

Listening on ESPN radio as my Cox internet and TV have been down all day. They said that it might be back by 5:00.

 

I agree that he’s looking like a monster.

I also agree with apk that it would be a three game series where Skenes can only pitch once.

Further, I wouldn’t even concede that game. Skene’s is likely to keep anyone’s score down, including ours, but his ERA isn’t zero. And we have some pretty good arms of our own to keep their score down too.

 

Can somebody please tell Ben McDonald to just SHUT UP already and call the game!!

Its sad to think this CWS may pass without Paul Skenes ever facing off against Wake Forest. That would have been some prime time baseball. Oh well I guess we will have to be okay if Skenes faces the Gators and hope Caglianone can get a hold of one. Works for me.
