I want to keep him, but I’m not going to beg any teenager to stay with Florida. It’s just not in me. If he wants to play for a hack like Cristobal and 10k fans on Saturday more power to him.
It's not begging, he's at a position of need this cycle and if we're just content on "just go if you're wavering", then we're going to be having the roster in the future that we have now.
I absolutely hope that the young man sticks with the Gators, he seems like a good kid and a fine prospect. But if he goes, he goes. There are other more highly rated prospects already in hand at this point and plenty of other fish in the sea if it comes to that. See Traylon Ray, etc., etc. Personally, I'm done with agonizing over the choices of teenagers who swoon over an opportunity to "grab the money and run" at the expense of all else. I've already pretty much forgotten about Cormani what's his name, and I feel better for it.
Thanks for the correction. I suppose the CB to UF from On3 that popped up earlier was out of date. But for the record, I'm still finished with gnashing my teeth and rending my garments over what some kid I never knew existed until a few months ago may or may not do at some indeterminate point in an unknowable future. Life goes on.
Was thinking the same thing. Might have been leaning towards Miami because of who would be throwing to him. Probably leaning the other way now. Would be very surprised if he flipped to Miami at this point.
Hi Strange, as "Myama" continues to play like a Jr High School team on the field, do you see a "Cormani Correction" in the works?
As an aside, I hope UF continues to chase the kid from Texas at QB. I like that kids film, his public statements, everything. Reminds me of Bryce Young.
I'm sure there will be conversations between them. As far as UM's record this season, Cormani knew he was committing to a program going down the toilet. If it's true that Rashada is getting paid twice, Cormani might want to get in on that.
I would have to assume that these guys will not get paid a dime (well outside of spending cash for good faith) until they sign on the dotted line?
I am assuming Rashada got more than a dime from Ruiz and won't likely give it back. He'll get a legit NIL contract from UF after he signs.
