well NIL is here to stay and what’s being floated around is the university arent willing to give you funds up front, they are going to spread it out and i get that but these top kids arent with that apparently
They had the choice of going to a school and losing because I don’t think schools like Alabama are going to overpay either. They’ll pay for fair market value but I doubt they’re going to be ridiculous about it.
We'd still be paying but you couldn't have billionaires being so obvious and outbidding as much as they are having to spend.
Based on film, this is one kid I REALLY want in the class, but can't get into the sewer pipe with the sludge to make it happen. Many great athletes out there who can make a difference.
I wish our staff could find a slew of magical three stars that have exceptional, unrealized talent so that the bidding wars were not necessary. But we all remember Mullen's recruiting and how we thought we were getting under the radar types, but they turned out to be about as good as their ranking. Is AJ still solid?
Unfortunately nature of the beast. Bama and UGA can sell dynasty (and money). Created an environment where brand sells itself. Miami can sell hard cash. Florida selling "be part of the change" as well as some money. One is not like the other two.
For the past decade for five schools have completely separated themselves from everyone else. I believe Florida is scared of the consequences
As fans we just need to come to terms that these things are gonna happen in this new era. UF isn’t going to wallow in the mud and push the envelope. That can be good and bad however you want to look at it. Hell they’ve just come around to financially supporting the program more. I still think we can be successful. Michigan is doing alright. We just need some stability.
People are getting obsessed with Miami. Which means even if da u isn't winning, Ruiz is. If winning is making some Gators titter like little girls.
