I don't want to be pissed off all night after having a very good year, so just wanted to put something positive out there. IMO, this was a great year that happened to end on a sour note in a game that was tough to get excited about with our seeding virtually set in the SECT and it being a 3 win SEC team. The 2006-07 Gators lost at a dreadful LSU team. I'm not saying this is the 2007 Gators, but it's basketball, upsets happen. First NCAA tournament since 2020-21. Most regular season wins since 2016-17. We started this year with a very mediocre non-conference and 0-2 SEC start and then went 11-5 the rest of the way with a great chance to win four of those losses, but it's basketball and you aren't going to win all your close games on the road. At 10-5 (0-2), if you told me we'd likely be worst case an 8 seed, potential to be a 6 seed with winning a couple games in Nashville, I'd have taken it in an instant. We've all seen the potential of this team, put us on a neutral court against anybody and we'll have a shot. That's all you can ask for in March. We all hope to be at the top of the SEC again, but this was a big step forward this year.
