I just posted this on Twitter: #GoBolts have outscored NYI 13-4 at Amalie this series. They have outscored all 3 playoff opponents 37-18 at home this postseason. #Isles have been outscored 32-23 on the road this postseason. Isles 11-13-4 on road Reg Season Bolts 21-7 at home
While losing Kucherov is a big deal, I think it's very hard to defeat a team facing elimination at home. I wouldn't read too much into it, Islanders were fighting for survival and to get to play another game. I'm hoping the Canadiens don't let the series stretch to 7 games. They are playing at home but with only 3500 fans allowed, so it's nearly a neutral site game. I don't like their chances with a game 7 in Vegas.
A blowout Bolt win at Amalie tomorrow and it will get ugly late and long after. The Fire Islanders had better slip in the tunnel quickly.
Well my guys took care of business and sent Vegas back to the desert! Hope the Lightning come through, I think it will be a great series!
Well, the league got half of the finals matchup they wanted in Montreal. Now let’s see if the league helps NY to get the other half they really want. Light’em up Bolts!!
Good thing the league scored those 2 goals in OT so Montreal could win the series! (Just having a little fun! I think I understand what you mean.)
Maybe it's paranoia but I truly believe the league would have preferred Vegas in the final, did you watch any of the series and the brutal calls against the Habs? I'm not sure there would be a preference between NYI or the Bolts, the league tends to favour newly established teams to solidify their fanbase, they know us hockey crazed Canadians are going to show up at the turnstiles no matter what! I would prefer the Habs to play the Islanders because I think it is a better match up but who knows the way this team has surprised so far, I do know a Bolts vs Habs series will enable some fun banter on here!
The idea of hockey in Las Vegas is laughable. That town could burn up and blow away and we’d all be better off for it
I was speaking more in general hypothetical terms. Not saying the league tried to arrange it . If the league could’ve pushed a button, they would probably prefer a Montreal-NY final, imho. NHL blue blood Montreal hasn’t been to the SCF since 93 I believe, NY since 84. Vegas & Tampa have both been recently.
Here's hoping that tonight starts a 5 game winning streak for the guys in Blue. Kucherov is a huge question mark. I dont feel good about him going.
I think he's going to make it in Tilly. I think he's going to go off tonight for some points and hopefully the win. Just a feeling. But I'm wrong all the time so who knows.
