Come Saturday at noon at Doak Campbell Stadium, both teams will have more on their mind than what was on their plates earlier. The Gators (8-3) look to cap Mullen's first season with their first victory over the Seminoles in six years. The Seminoles (5-6) seek to avoid their first losing season since Gerald Ford called the White House home.

In a rivalry that has featured momentum swings over the years, FSU's current five-game win streak over the Gators is unprecedented. No player on Florida's roster has tasted victory in the series, which is all the motivation the Gators need.

"It's going to mean a lot," UF defensive tackle Kyree Campbell said should the Gators win. "We hear them boys talking, but we don't talk. We talk with our pads, so we'll see 'em on Saturday."

I like the way the Gators are trending up now. Winning the SC game, coming from behind was a great gut check. Dominating Idaho was a confidence builder. I think we are a healthy, happy and confident team. The school up north on the other hand is still in turmoil and confusion. If the ACC refs call a fair game we win going away.

I think we win this, however, I fully expect the Noles first drive to be a 60 to 80 yard TD bomb with the help of the Refs by not calling several holds. I think that helps light a fire on our sideline to go to work.
