The Gators had scheduled a couple of pre season exhibition games up here in Southern Ontario in September of 07 after their 1st NC, Larry Shyatt had a Canada connection as he had a cottage north of here! We went to watch the game at Brock University, a small gym by D1 standards, it only held a few hundred fans, it was great! I am not into hero worship but I got to chat with all of the players and coach Donovan! Pre game I was court side taking pictures and handing stray balls to Corey Brewer as he was practicing shooting 3's from the edge! It was an experience I will never forget and the only live Gator BB I have seen to date, everyone was so friendly and somewhat amused their was a genuine fan up here in this neck of the woods!
Damn, I was there in Atlanta. We kept saying we were living the dream with football and basketball...and you know, we kinda were. Can't believe it was 17 years ago. Fugio!
I was there also. It was a great weekend telling the Ohio State fans that they were inferior to us in both football and basketball.
The team with Patric young, Yeguette...won more games than any other Gator team but lost in the final four
