Seems a good way to end, with your former assistant of ~10 years picking up the reins. Not a UA fan but I definitely admire what he did with the program, hopefully he is smart enough to retire before becoming a joke.

Texas won this game because Sark is an elite play caller, imho. He was aggressive from the start, and said that was the game plan after. Big strikes win big games.

 

One thing to note is how Sarkisian is building this program. Two years ago below .500, then had a slightly better record last year. But now his players are out there and we are seeing the difference. Hopefully napier has the same type of trajectory.

 

I've heard that the gumps O line could start for NFL teams. If that's true, somehow Texas has an NFL D line and gump skill players suck.

 

After 10-15 years of Bama having a massive talent advantage over pretty much every other program, it’s weird seeing them look somewhat… normal?

 

Couldn’t watch this one because of the freaking Spectrum/ESPN kerfuffle but reading about it warms my heart. Suck it, Gumps!

 

I love seeing Bama lose but I don’t like te see Texas winning .

 

Texas should have won last year. Ewers got hurt then the backup did as well. Still had the game until Bama was allowed to hold a defender right in front of the ref that led to the game winning points.

Also, Bama won titles by having a decisive talent advantage paid for through a totally complicit support system. Kirby brought it to Georgia. Hopefully a few other teams not named fsu catch up and bring both of them back to earth.

 

This Bama dominance needs to end.

The Nick Saban coaching tree is also bogus. I’m pretty sure he planted those guys out there for unsuspecting schools to hire them away and stagnate their football programs, not on purpose of course, but we all knew who the real brains was. Pretty pissed that we fell for it a couple of times

 

Probably learned that from Bill belichick.

 

Doesn't hurt to have a 5* QB in Ewers.
