I have never been at a party where someone said throw on some Bob Seger.

 

Nah man. Seger isn't on the same level as James Brown.

But yeah, somehow he's been singled out as canned punching bag (usually by people who's taste in music floats in the neighborhood of fingernails on a chalk board to locomotive coming yo a screeching halt... ).

The only thing I don't like about Bob Seger is he whored his best song to sell pickup trucks.

 

Sounds like Wilson Phillips. Without the harmony. In other words it sounds like a cheesy early 90's pop song.

The Hall of Fame is full of mediocre boomer rock. Moody Blues can go in the same rock Hall of Fame shitty wing as Bob Seger.

And they took like 25 years to induct Skynyrd. The HOF isn't a metric of anything important
