I mentioned them because I'm not tiny and can easily bump into/over and hurt a small child or elderly person and was trying to avoid people as we made our way across the throng. My son only because I didn't want people to think he's a small child. The provacateur appeared to be in good shape probably about 6' (maybe a bit shorter) maybe 170 pounds. Again, he made it very clear he wasn't afraid of the police as "he would be back out here tomorrow" and was fairly descriptive about what he planned to do to me first and my son soon after.

So. Looking over the first page of the thread, the same person disliked, disagreed, or gave a c'mon man to some of the most random posts. The same person, every time. The posts seemed fairly innocuous, so I am not sure I understand.
Anyone know what the game is here? Is there a list of people he just disagrees with and spams for no reason? Does he even read the posts? Seems so odd.

Seems like you’ve never been to a big city. It was either somebody who was mentally ill, or an aggressive panhandler trying to play the race card to lure in guilty marks.

I was in Key West on spring break once while at UF. A homeless guy somewhere near Sloppy Joe’s asked me for money. I told him I was as broke as he was (which actually wasn’t too far from the truth at the time though I did apparently have gas money for KW), and he thought I was being flippant and insulting him I guess, but he chased me for like a half a block. Engaging just isn’t the smart thing to do.

He’s very sensitive and tribal. It’s all about good team and bad team. He will make all kinds of condescending little jabs himself but gets upset when others from the “bad” side do it.

So my now ex wife was the pharmacist at plaza drugs in downtown Atlanta. A homeless guy wanted some Percocet and said he lost his prescription. She said they were out and he went off. He said I can see your hairy A Hole to her. She called 911 and he left the store but hung around to aggressively panhandle anybody coming into the store. The cops show up throw the guy in the back of their car and has my wife come out to identify the guy. She did and he screamed it was a really really hairy a hole. the cops asked my wife if she wanted to press charges she said she did and they told her to show up in the morning for his first appearance.

At his first appearance the guy had been beaten bloody. The judge released him aor. He never showed up again. Did the cops beat him bloody?

Really? The only black people the Dems like are the ones that vote for them... MAGA is NOT about race.

But... why even mention MAGA? This incident is/was politically neutral, unless you think all black people are Dems and none of them are MAGA. That seems a bit like profiling to me.

Kind of a sad way to go thru life. Seems like being that petty and tribal would eat away at you after a while.

Edit... I see it now in the comments. I was wrong. It does look a tactic for initiating a conversation. Good find.

Agree with everyone that said it was some kind of scam or hustle. Had nothing to do with race. Dude was just looking for a controversial way of getting you to engage with an emotional / hot button issue.

You nailed it. It’s not about reconciliation, but rather acquiescence. It is for you to shut up and shake hands.

Would you have shaken the dude's hand?

...would you have gotten on your knees and begged his forgiveness?

    (LMAO!)

This is probably correct. If you stand out there and just try to stop people, they keep on walking. I still don’t think this is very effective but maybe there’s some people that will stop and shake his hand to show they aren’t racist.

That’s funny - and easy to imagine. When I was last there I had a guy follow me down the sidewalk yelling “hey you, I’m talking to you - hey”.
He obviously suffered from mental illness. Son said he was a neighborhood character and harmless - was still weird.
