So a person born with a vagina isn't a female. A person who transitions to a vagina isn't a female. The right likes to say the left doesn't know what a woman is, but apparently they don't have any idea either.

Phelps also has a condition where he produces half the lactic acid of a normal person.

Well…I was spot on about people looking the other way/defending men competing against women.

We live in really weird times.

I’m against men competing with women, but it hasn’t been conclusively demonstrated the athlete is a man. She apparently has women bits and the XY report has been contested. The only thing that we know for certain is that she has high T levels which could just be a geneti abnormality that gives her an advantage.

Hypothetically, what would your position be in the case of an athlete with man bits but female level T and XX chromosomes. Would they be a female to you?

I have as much proof that you failed a genetic test. Are you concerned about being informed?

    Righties are just weird.

Righties are not the only ones concerned. There is reasonable doubt and reason to question this particular boxer. We don’t have all the info as of yet so jumping to conclusions is baseless.
As for my normal Schlick - yeah I like to try to be reasonable. I hate painting with a broadbrush and labeling everyone on one side or the other as a group. And yeas.. that’s par for the course here.

He/she doesn’t pass the eye test. That’s enough for me. If he/she fought my daughter I’d be in the ring with he/she next.

Why is it reasonable to debate someone who’s been competing for years in women’s sports with an unremarkable record just because some freaks are presently hyped up on bigotry?

I wouldn't want to be examined by a panel of naked doctors unless they were women.

You’d be running in terror out of the ring if the boxer told you her pronouns

Its Olympic boxing. If she is a beast of a woman she deserves the gold. If she is doping or using illegal genetic treatments then she should be banned. That's what they test for.

Apparently individuals suffering from the real TDS (Transgender Derangement Syndrome) have now contracted a similar condition, IDS (Intersex Derangement Syndrome). The difference is that their original obsession was focused on persons who have altered their bodies through hormones and surgery while the new version of the obsession includes persons who have had their condition from birth not as the result of medical intervention.

That's too general. I can think of a transathlete competing in a major women's team sport who will likely medal. They are FTM so probably off their radar. They only want to imagine women with penises, that's their hobby.

The athlete is Female to Male but competing as a female? I’m confused. Wouldn't there be hormones supplements involved and if transitioning to male why would they want to play on a female team?

Is the eye test really all that matters?

I don't remember anyone questioning her capability as the best female tennis player of all time. Yet it's without question that she had greater muscle mass, and presumably more testosterone, than the other women she competed against. The fact is, top tier athletes are usually genetic freaks... whether that's height, strength, or the perfect body type for their particular sport.

I think the athlete is Quinn who plays on the Canadian women's soccer team. Although Quinn (formerly Rebecca Quinn) now identifies as male apparently he/she isn't receiving testosterone.
