Then allow government to teach abstinence as well.

The objection isn't to the government teaching abstinence, it's mandating the teaching of abstinence while specifically mandating that other forms of contraception not be taught.

Neo-progs teaching contraception--to boys and girls (and other made up pretend genders): stick the pecker in the anus....no one gets pregnant.

Then act like we're weird for taking issue with their idea of sex ed.

I think a closer analogy to drug paraphernalia would be public schools giving out sex toys.

I think it is exactly on point. If sex-ed is taught in the school than contraception needs to be taught (and of course, throw in abstinence in the discussion).

I have no issue with abstinence-only being sanctioned in Sunday school. That’s a religious concept
And I said exactly that: “Sure, abstinence is the best method, and that too can be taught.”

It just shouldn’t be the sole lesson at the expense of real-world education. And I don’t think anyone would advocate that abstinence shouldn’t be discussed.

What was mandated to not be taught. The OP specifically addressed other forms would be taught. Now the gotcha headline of course would lead you to believe otherwise…

And it’s not. The OP said as much. Now the title on the other hand is deceptive…

what in god’s holy name are you blathering about. Nobody is getting taught about non-reproductive sex. Did you learn about blowjobs when you were in high school sex ed? Or course not.

All due respect, you're the one referring to peckers and anuses.

DeSantis moving schools in a better direction. But homeschooling is still the best option.

DeSantis actually attending school would be a good direction.
