Yes, but the melee after the Ohio State/Michigan game resulted in fines of $10,000 imposed by the conference against both schools.
Having practiced law for 50 years I can tell you that litigation is incredibly expensive and frivolous lawsuits can result in monetary sanctions...
And fired. Retaliation, as we know, is often penalized, and frequently results in an ejection.
And then arrested and sued. Smart plan.
If you punch teams in the mouth, why bother to plant a flag, start a fight, invite retribution and provide more incentive to the other team?
Agreed, but we are better than that. It also virtually guarantees a fight and future retribution.
