Yeap Max was a sitting duck once both got injured.
I think with Mertz we'd hang with them even if Hunter was healthy. The offense with him is 99% better than what we saw tonight.
Discipline would go a long way.
The defense just always finds a way to give the game away.

That's like the 1st time all season I've seen our DL actually put their hands up to knock a pass down. lol
Hard to trust a freshman to make the right reads against that defense.
He's a great playmaker, however, Max needs extra blocking so he doesn't get killed on every pass play.
It's hard to call plays with an inexperienced QB starting his first ever game with a makeshift OL.
