      Well, raise my rent --- a VAX 11/780? I spent the first 25 years of my careers as a VAX/VMS applications & systems programmer . . . I still miss that wonderful operating system, and have an entire Gray Wall shelved on a bookcase in my basement. Good times.

        That was my speciality at UF and my first 5 years at work...then moved over to Unix as DEC systems were relegated to just life cycle support

        I used VAXA and VAXB (the dullest nodenames I ever encountered) in Weil Hall from 1982 to 1984. Before your time? Punch cards littering the hallway every night?
