Baseball vs. LSU in Omaha, Mon 6/26, 7:00 pm

Selling the product to LSU baseball fans. Business decision to skew it that way, imo. LSU baseball fans dwarf the competition. Like UK in hoops. Just the way it is.

We can change that, though. Gotta keep cultivating and growing the fan base.

 

Lsu also just blasted one of the best teams of all time. They deserve their praise.

As for us, two more wins is all we need.

 

I hope it isn't three games and only two. Needless to say, whoever wins the first game will win it all imo, because available pitching depth will be the key in this series.

Still pisses me off that a biased umpire cost us that Friday night game and we had to use Faedo up in a game 2.

If we win with Singer Monday night, we'll win the title in two games imo. If LSU wins Monday night, they'll win in two.

The first game is the catalyst imo.

 

Dang. I thought we were done with cameras panning to looney mom after last night.

 

Must have been how they led off. I watched almost all of it and it was well balanced imo.

 

We may need some good innings from lower bullpen guys like Langworthy, Horvath, Rubio, and Baker if Singer or Kowar get in trouble. It sucks we may not have a Lange vs Faedo matchup. One day off is not enough; the final series should at least start on Wednesday so every pitcher can be available.

 

What did the 2015 Cavaliers do with their rotation? It's was like they only had 4 quality/ top flight reliable arms starting and in the pen too?

 

Hmm..last time we lost in Super regionals..we went on to win the next 3 games...so far we won 1 since our loss on Friday..we have 2 more to go

 

They are beatable..got thunped 13-1..we can do this..probably not 13-1 but at least 3-1

UF hasn't lost a series since UT. That was 2.5 months ago. Here's hoping that streak lasts until 2018...

 

Mathematically, if Singer is ineffective, UF is in MAJOR trouble.

 

We definitely need Hicks in the lineup and at least one lefty, Langworthy or Horvath to pitch.

Took 2 out out of 3 vs Lsu earlier this year.......I'll take that again

 

Not just that, but it'll remind the baseball world that LSU's baseball fans travel just as well as Nebraska's football fans. Some are saying LSU will have 4 fans in Omaha for every Gator fan. ESPN even said Omaha built a new stadium just for LSU, but then LSU stopped dominating baseball once the new stadium was finished. I forgot how much they owned baseball in the 90s, more so than any other team in any sport during that time.

 

One thing Grey . Singer will win , if he can get more than 2 hits from our batters . JJ has fallen on his butt the whole CWS maybe time he starts being JJ .!! Go GATORS

 

I was referring to the nonstop coverage of Skoug's mom. What makes her more important than other moms? Any backstory?

Didn't watch many other teams play, if the coverage of robertsons mom is worse, I may go radio.

 

Yeah but Faedo out dueled Lange 1-0. If memory serves, UF lost Game 3 in that one. Game 3 would be Kowar vs Walker. Walker is out. Gilbert is probably out for a start. LSU has about as many options for Game 2 as UF. UF has to go Dyson. LSU will go with ??? So if UF doesn't win Game 1 AND Game 2, then an if necessary Game 3 would be Lange on 4 days vs Kowar on 4 days with all hands but Dyson and Singer on deck. Not a great matchup for UF but IF you can layoff Lange's breaking ball which he traditionally struggles to throw for non-swinging strikes, you have a shot. If you chase, call it a day as his hammer is nasty.

 

I was at the UF-Nebraska game in 2005. Bill Horne can vouch; I swear UF had 500-800 fans and Nebraska had the other 23,000. I have NEVER been that outnumbered at any sporting event. To this day, probably my single favorite in-person game I have ever attended (that or an EPL Championship Playoff at Fulham or The Ashes at Lord's)...
