1984 Florida @ Tennessee. Trailing 10-7, and then this happens...
Didn't lose the lead after that. 43-30 final.

Looking back on it, I probably enjoyed that 1982 USC game more than any other. It started with the guy sitting in front of me jumping up and running down onto the field to sing the national anthem ( Jimmy Buffett), to Wilbur's incredible performance, to the raucus packed house, and wine and dinner at the old Pizza Palace on 13th Street after the game. What a day. Pell had us believing.

I was in that end zone in Jax. Awesome!

 

I was in stadium, best evar! We went from Citrus Bowl to Phoenix and a but whoppin on OH-onow.

 

Memory is starting to fade, but early 80s f$u at home, 4th and short at f$u 30, 2 TE set, everybody in the stadium knew James Jones was getting it, fake to Jones, throw to TE (Chris Faulnker or Mike Mularky) for a TD. Same play worked again on a 4th down.

 

I think I saw it when I was 7 yo but I don't remember it at all. I wish I could find some footage of it.

 

My grandmother told me when it happened she was ironing and tossed up the iron in an unwise celebration.

 

Trying to make me feel old huh? Ha.

I will never ever forget that game! Gator QB Steve Spurrier tells Coach Ray Graves, "I can kick the field goal!" Goes out there, and kicks it in! Getting the Win against the Gators oldest Rival, the Auburn Tigers!

 

Me too!! One of my greatest gator memories.
