From the times I saw SS play I was not impressed with his decision making.

He still has a year of eligibility left so maybe he finds a way to go back to CU.

It’s a weak QB class, but he’s slated as a backup with the potential to be productive given the lack of elite arm and elite athletic ability. Add in how he’s only been coached by his dad who lets him call whatever plays to the point of firing an offensive coordinator in year one at CU to him throwing his teammates under the bus, I wouldn’t touch him as an NFL GM. He also interviewed horribly.

Who won a National Championship at Colorado? Eric Bienemy (whose number isn’t retired BTW)?

Actually, pretty impressive that we went 8-5 with a team that had no first, second or third round 2025 draftable talent on the roster.

    ChatGPT…

Shedeur Sanders, once projected as a top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, remains undrafted as the event enters its final day. This unexpected slide has left analysts and fans alike searching for answers.

Factors Contributing to Sanders’ Draft Slide

    1. On-Field Performance Concerns

Despite an impressive college career, including a 74.0% completion rate in 2024 and over 4,100 passing yards, some NFL scouts have expressed reservations about Sanders’ readiness for the professional level. Criticisms include a tendency to hold onto the ball too long, leading to a high number of sacks—95 over his last two college seasons—and questions about his mobility and decision-making under pressure.

    2. Pre-Draft Interviews and Perceived Attitude

Reports suggest that Sanders’ interactions during pre-draft interviews may have raised red flags for some teams. An anonymous NFL assistant coach described him as “entitled” and noted that his interview was among the worst he had experienced, citing poor body language and a tendency to blame teammates.

    3. Influence of Deion Sanders

Shedeur’s father, Deion Sanders, a Hall of Famer and current head coach at Colorado, has been both a mentor and a polarizing figure. His outspoken nature and public criticisms of NFL teams and players may have inadvertently impacted perceptions of Shedeur. Some analysts believe that teams are wary of potential distractions or challenges associated with Deion’s involvement.

    4. Media Attention and Public Perception

The extensive media coverage surrounding Sanders, including a prank call during his live-streamed draft party, has added to the scrutiny. Analysts like Stephen A. Smith have even suggested that Sanders’ slide resembles a form of collusion, drawing parallels to Colin Kaepernick’s situation.

    Outlook Moving Forward

Despite the setbacks, Sanders remains a talented quarterback with a strong college resume. As the draft concludes, it’s possible that a team will recognize his potential and select him in the later rounds. If not, he may have opportunities as an undrafted free agent. Sanders has expressed optimism, citing faith and determination to overcome this challenge.

The faster the kid understands why nobody wants to deal with him, the better off he will be. Could you imagine if his career took the same path as Trask. Tge media noise would be unbearable.

He’s the antithesis of Trask. Dude has always been a starter from day one where Trask have had to work for it.

the NYTs made a good arg that teams want somewhat anonymous backup QBs, not ones that have "fans". B/C popular backup QBs cause fans to insta scream for them with every loss or interception. I think TT suffered from this
