Haugh has elected to NOT declare for the NBA draft. I am pleasantly surprised. Bodes well for Condo also returning.
I don’t see the harm in getting feedback from the draft, but I am glad he just said he’s coming back and isn’t gonna make us wait.
Good news, except I am not sure why the shortcut to the decision. All he would be doing is getting some valuable feedback as to what is his weaknesses. And I am talking about both scouts and playing against other NBA wannabe's. Maybe he was missing college life too much.
Can you still only do it once? Maybe if he 100% knew he was coming back he wanted it keep it in his pocket for next year.
No combine invite. Don’t really need to go through all that travel and stress when they just essentially told you to go back to school.
All I can say is, if Thomas has a third year leap, equal to his second year leap, he is flirting with All American status! I can't get that parachute rebound off a Clayton miss and those two three's against TT out of my head. That was the catalyst to victory road!! He has long arms and great height, imagine Thomas shooting 40% from three! He has good form for a big. His confidence seemed to skyrocket as the season progressed. I would be shocked if Golden does not encourage him to work hard on that 3 point shot. Obviously getting that three into the 40% range would be HUGE for his NBA draft status, not to mention UF's prospects for next season. Is it basketball season yet? Who needs football.......... LOL
I think his improvement will depend if he keeps his mustache or not. I’d love to see him grow it out, maybe add some curled up handle bars to it.
Y’all are welcome I used all the change in my piggy bank to make sure we locked this one in. Apopka can’t blame this fan this time.
Haugh is a great Gator! IMO he was our most important player to retain. He's our best stretch 4 and can also move to SF if we want to play big. Haugh made so many big plays for us down the stretch. Now he needs to get in the weight room and build up his body for the NBA.
They lifted the rule back in ‘16, iirc. They can enter the draft and return to college more than once now, so long as they withdraw within the window they’re given, which ends 10 days after the combine.
Curled up, a la Rollie Fingers style? Or the more intimidating style? I think I like the latter over the former. But that is just me.
