So this happened prior to the Republican Senate Intelligence Committee reporting their findings that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia? Good, so this guy was doing his job. And well. This won't shock anyone, but the article has very little basis relating to anything in the memos. I read through all 21 pages of memos and can come to a few conclusions: McCabe comes across as professional and thoughtful The White House staff (excluding Trump) were very concerned about Flynn's contacts with Russia with Pence and staff quickly identifying that Flynn lied about the nature of his call with the Russian Ambassador in which he said was about building relationships and exchanging condolences, when in reality Flynn brought up sanctions relief for Russia, unprompted. Trump is an egomaniac, unfit for the job, and his own staff couldn't trust him. He kept asking if the FBI was happy with his decision to fire Comey because "80% of the FBI voted for him." The entirety of his interviews for the new FBI director consisted of "Would you like the job?" and "I bet this would be good for you, right?" meaning from a perspective of positive press. He asked no questions of substance whatsoever prompting the DAG then had to take over the interviews. Finally, Trump's own staff didn't trust him with certain information worrying that he would immediately tweet out sensitive information.
