Baseball at MS State, Sun 4/20, 3:00 pm EDT

There is not a pitcher or catcher alive who likes to pitch or catch wearing the color black. Too freaking hot then the jersey is heavy. Just not a good baseball color.

 

That Reece guy has been a pain today

 

The two transfers Cyr and Nadeau a little disappointing. Cyr gets a lot of first pitch fastballs that he doesn’t swing at. Would like to see him look for the fastball and go after it.

Luke has great stuff, but he can't consistently locate it. I would prefer a guy with a little lesser "stuff" who can hit the corners, move the ball up and down, in and out. He's just not developed into the pitcher he was projected to be when signed out of high school. Too bad. Gators in a HUGE hole now.

 

Too many mistakes. 0-2 count and you throw one center cut home run. Hit two guys back to back. 0-2 count and throw another center cut for a sac fly. Balk a guy and he scores. Then you hit another batter. A no break curve center cut 3 run hr. That’s throwing not pitching.

 

So would Sully.

Gotta start chipping away and getting some runs, even 1 next inning would be a good start.
