Just watched a Batesy rerun of old Spurrier stories in honor of Coach.
Trying to find The Believer The Spurrier story hosted by Kenny Chesney, but very hard to find on ESPN. I found Carlos, Abby, Basketball, and Danny but couldn’t find Spurrier show. Seen it 20 times but one of my favorite documentaries out there

Like to see our baseball team get to sweep today! Coach would tell em “ get the broom out”!

coach was a heck of a baseball player in his day one of the better pitchers in the state of Tennessee

All-State in three sports in high school. He could have gone anywhere in any of them. Chose UF. Won a Heisman. 10 year NFL career. Backed up a Hall of Fame QB and was an excellent punter. Showed the world what offense should look like with the Bandits. Brilliant college coaching career at three different schools. Always did everything the right way!

That’s a hell of a lot of accomplishment packed into 80 years. Happy belated Birthday Coach Spurrier.
