I bet I’ve watched the replay of Cyr to Heyman three or four times. Cyr’s approach and throw—Heyman’s catch and tag—
You can teach off of that play.

Only scary thing is, a closer doesn't always have time to settle in. Philpott has that issue....seems to put the first couple of guys that he faces on base

Interesting, as I was thinking the same thing, but then I looked at Arkansas’s top pitching starters.

one is former Florida gator commit Zach Root Who transferred from East Carolina.
    5-2 4.19 era.
other 2 starters have ERA’s of 4.06 and 6.00 so no dominant starter on staff.
Their staff is not overwhelming, but they do have a very good pen.

They basically hit their way to success so we’re going to have to put some runs up and limit their top 4 guys who have combined for 48 home runs at 195 RBIs.

they tend to get up big time on people really quick and then just rely on solid but not great pitching.

Yes sir, we get to 12 wins, and I would say we are in! Also I think winning one game in the SEC tournament at least would be huge. Can’t be one and done.

Huge win. Good to see the bats pick up the pitchers. Clemente with one bad pitch, but solidifying his role as closer.

Cyr MVP. RBIs and heck of a throw to get the out and change momentum.

    Textbook.

My only quibble is that neither Shelton or our pitcher were in perfect cut-off position. Not that they would cut it off. But the throw was exactly the kind of throw that you should make that could be cut off. A thing of beauty.
