Not with Stricklin. He’s allowed all of our minor sports to worsen without consequences.

Did anyone expect anything different? Maybe this performance was one day earlier than most thought but I seriously doubt anyone thought this was the year. They are what they are. Sporadic and inconsistent with the potential to beat anybody. I think they have the 2 highest meet totals of the year? Just never seem to do it when it counts. Once again waiting for next year.

You don't fire a coach that has you in the top 5 every year.

The difference between Rowland and Wise is Wise came in and turned an average program into a national powerhouse. Jenny inherited a program that had just won three straight national titles to now the 4th best team in the SEC.

98% of the collegiate women's gymnastics coaches wish they could win so much.

I get it for this year by not finishing in the national final, but Jenny has done an outstanding job leading Florida gymnastics. I'm disappointed too, but doing anything to Jenny would amount to throwing the baby out with the bath water.

UF is loaded moving forward. Having Selena Harris-Miranda back for another year plus getting Kayla DiCello and Skye Blakely back in full good health will give UF a lineup that is likely the best in the nation. I'd like to see more of a killer instinct in wanting to win, coach speak as performing loose, but I think not having so many injuries is more important. UF could not overcome the loss of Kayla and Skye before the season started and Sloane Blakely late in the season in what could have been a national championship season.

With the 4th ranked recruiting class of 2025 coming to supplement what UF has returning and the #2 recruiting class of 2026 which I think is the best class in the nation, the future is bright.

That was not the case in the 2024 season when UF had the youngest team in the nation and still finished in the national final.

Rhonda Faehn took 11 seasons before winning the first of her three national championships.

    Gator All-Americans:

Four of the five All-Americans will likely be back for the 2026 season. Anya Pilgrim has the talent to be an All-American as obviously does Kayla DiCello and Skye Blakely.

Between 1991 and 2005 the Atlanta Braves won (14) consecutive MLB East Division titles, (5) National League titles, and (1) World Series title. With arguably the best starting pitching rotation in MLB history. All while being managed by Bobby Cox. The same Bobby Cox that didn't pinch run for Sid Bream, the slowest player in MLB, with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning of the 1992 NLCS. With Bream at second base representing the winning run. Setting up a dramatic game winning play at home plate. A play that, had Cox used a pinch runner, wouldn't have been close. And yes, as a lifetime Braves fan, I still don't understand how Cox only won (1) World Series.

The point of the Braves story? While I agree that getting rings is a combination of great athletes, coaching, and a sprinkle of good luck. Sometimes, you create your good luck. Good luck is when preparation meets opportunity. While insanity is doing the same thing, for a decade, and expecting a different result. As a few others have opined. A Gator Gymnastics Championship is out there. CJR just needs to self scout, fine tune, and figure out the right formula. There's no reason why wait'll next year can't be 2026.

    Go Gators!

Poor Sid, should never have been in that position. The Orioles had a great staff also. Some Dodger staffs also.
