Baseball at MS State, Fri 4/18, 8:00 pm EDT

Yep, struggling. Still throwing and not pitching. Surprised on as thought he’d take a step. Gonna hope to have to bring the hit sticks tonight.

At this point I’m ready to move King to Friday night starter. His 2.68 era speaks volumes.

 

Some tough luck bouncers there in the 2nd, but Peterson has thrown way too many pitches. Probably only will be able to go 5 at this pace. Needed him to go deeper.

 

King’s still a true freshman in the SEC. I think Saturday pressure in the conference is plenty. If we were to make playoff baseball I would be fine to move him to the lead horse then. Let him grow until then.

We continue to help this lefty expand the strike zone.

 

MSU hitters are WAY TOO COMFORTABLE in their AB’s. We gotta make’em move their feet!

 

Maybe, but as you know, Friday night is absolutely everything and winning that first game means a great deal. Liam is not a shutdown guy on Friday night. Not sure King is yet but you know in the SEC have to have a shut down Friday night guy.

with regard to the playoffs… I would rather move him now and hope to get us to the playoffs. Might send a message to our current Friday night guy.

 

I don’t even know how to respond to this. I would leave King be.
