I see him as the starting SG next year, who will also be able to bring the ball up as needed..

Need a starting point guard from the Portal, and hopefully Urban stays and competes for those positions, and I predict Tommy finally starts at the three, with Condon and Rueben inside.

    Often heard; rarely seen.

I'm a bird nerd so I'll add, "Like the Northern Bobwhite..."

I thought he played well throughout the tournament; I'm happy that he's a Gator!

Great hustle picking up a pass that was way in front of him at the end and he drew the foul!

Hard to find a great point guard. We have one for next year, no reason to move him to 2. Easier to find a 2 than a 1. Probably need a backup from the portal though.

WTF would you think he's going to hit the portal? Where's he going to go that'll be better than the situation he has at UF?

I freaking hate that I thought it but someplace where he might be "the guy"

Don't know that he's that guy, but someone could throw a bunch of $ at him, and who knows? I sure hope he stays at UF. He's a dude.

And I hate you for being so prescient, haha. I could never have guessed this. When I heard this yesterday, I assumed that we would just raise the cash to up his NIL offer. Apparently, he is hearing really good things from someone out there right now.

Does anyone have any leads on a replacement? Are we going after the kid from Memphis? I would think if they had the money for him, they'd have the money to retain Zel. Don't know who I'd prefer to have on the team.

That's the rub. No one equivalent to Aberdeen will come at the same price tag. If they could, we would have kept him. Golden has to make a calculated decision about what he wants out of next season: to compete at all costs or to make a statement about how we he wants to run his program. He has earned the right to opt for the latter.

IMO, the replacements are the Brown brothers. Shooting and experience from AJ, athleticism and continuity from Isaiah. Anything you get from Ingram and Lloyd is bonus.

I think he sees the market; knows what incoming players have been commanding … and is confident he can do better. And he very well may be right . so, I don’t blame him at all. But it doesn’t make the entire situation any less off-putting.

I'll be rooting for the guys in our colors either way. The rest, they're gator bait.

Completely agree. Honestly, I don't think I've ever been as disappointed in my years following Gator hoops. Maybe Kruger bolting for Illinois? Or Drejer leaving midseason? SGA backing out of his commitment to us for UK? But a true blue Gator kid coming off a national title being offered good money by Florida (reportedly) and opting to enter the portal because he could get far more? As disheartening as I can recall.
