and use our tax dollars to pay his legal bill

the man is pure scum, exhibit 78653658085.c

Bondi continuing to embarrass herself as she prostitutes her professional license for the orange god..he was acting in an official presidential capacity when he called her a >>>>>

is there anyone willing to say that is a stupid idea in his orbit?

Justice Department wants to step in for Trump in E. Jean Carroll appeal

The Department of Justice wants to stand in for President Trump in his ongoing appeal of a defamation case that could cost him tens of millions of dollars.

Lawyers for the taxpayer-funded agency and Mr. Trump's personal attorneys said in a filing on April 11 that the Justice Department believes the federal Westfall Act shields Mr. Trump in the case, which has pitted him against the writer E. Jean Carroll.
    ..................

The Justice Department asserts that Mr. Trump was acting in his official capacity as president when he made the allegedly defamatory statements about Carroll in 2019, and therefore the court is required to substitute the United States for Mr. Trump in the case. Under the Westfall Act, federal employees are entitled to absolute immunity from personal lawsuits for conduct occurring within the scope of their employment.

They're all in on their defaming sexual assaulter. Hard to imagine they'll change now.

They love Donald J. Trump. He completes them.

Does anyone have a link to the trial? Important testimony, accusations, evidence other than she said, he said? Is there any factual evidence that he did what she accused him of? Asking because I’ve seen these type of civil judgments that I felt were BS. And others that were eventually found to be not true.

Im not defending Trump. Just looking for facts.

Man, I am starting to regret coming back here. Just when I think Trump can’t be anymore insulting.

there were two trials. guilt decided by jury that heard all the evidence. nobody here will ever hear or experience the evidence they did, yet some will be convinced they know more..smdh

Is one thing after another with that guy and the supposedly Christian Conservatives don’t care in the slightest.

Hopefully you don’t get run off again. I truly enjoy your perspectives.

    Right here
I appreciate that demo. I was happy to see you still posting here regularly too.

But yes, it is one thing after another with Trump, and I don’t get a ton of satisfaction watching our MAGA-aligned community members creatively twist themselves in knots to justify their continued support for him. I mean, “I was acting in official capacity as president when I disparaged the woman who accused me of rape decades earlier, so the United States should take over as defendant”? Who could possibly agree that this is a proper use of the office and nation’s resources??

What self respecting attorney would even file something like that. The bar should reprimand them if not disbar them.

Trump would then change laws requiring bar membership.

No such thing as a straight face test with the cult.

I guess if a man can part the red sea with a stick Trump can sexually assault and defame a woman as a presidential act.

We're the United States of Trump now. He's allowed to use the power of the federal government to further his criminality because .....

...... he faces no repercussions for his actions, criminal or not.

This is what we saw him do before, this is what we knew to expect, this is what we voted for.

(And this is what MAGA voters here just scroll right past, as if it weren't happening.)

Anyone anywhere predict exactly this? Good game, America.
