They are going to have separate GMs for each "major" sport? I wasn't thinking they would do that.

Strictly basketball, Mike never stuck me as that kind of guy. Sorry.

Justin Hamilton, Eddie Shannon, Teddy Dupay, Greg Stolt, Andrew DeClercq, the two senior guards on the 1994 team (I forget their names). Former NBA players are probably too wealthy to want that kind of job.

Senior moment. I blame the UAA. The archived rosters only goes back so far.

He wasn't? I thought they both left after 1994.

I like your thinking, but going in the opposite direction of a "college GM" just being there as a recruiting attraction*, maybe it should be Jason Williams. Seems like he's a player that some recruits have mentioned before. Or, has White Chocolate already slipped into a zeitgeist of the past?

Or, maybe another football player suggestion: Tim Tebow. Haugh said he was a Gator fan due to TT.

    * - I think I'm okay with Golden making all the calls about which talent to go after.

He’s around a lot already. See him at basketball games fairly often. Also see him fairly often at softball since his daughter is over there. He was still coming to basketball games before she was on campus though.

For as short of a stint as he had here, its pretty cool that he’s still around so much and seems to consider it home.

How about Matt Walsh? Isn't he a GM of an overseas team?

My problem with Matt is my perceived notion that he was killing time at Florida until he was prepared for the NBA. And then he got some bad advice. But still, he can be rehabilitated, both mentally as well as in the public's eye, as well as Dupay. Does he have the acumen?
