Scoring seems pretty strict, but that's OK as long as it's that way across the board. A couple of shaky dismounts cost the Gators on the beam. I thought Leann had a great routine, but then had that lean and near stumble on her dismount. Oh well, as long as we stay in the Top 2, it's all good and our riskiest routine is now behind us. Hope they kill it on the floor.
I love gymnastics but I’m certainly no expert. That said I’m not 100% an idiot either. Scoring in gymnastics infuriates me. An athlete’s score should be based on performance plain and simple, nothing else. The color of the leotard your wearing or your team’s regular season ranking or your position in a rotations lineup shouldn’t matter.
She had a great routine going and then bounced out of bounds. Too much adrenaline I guess. But Selena and Taylor had her back and we ended up OK. Hard to win, though, when your best gymnast's scores are the ones being dropped. Still halfway through, we're in 2nd place, only .100 behind Oklahoma and .300 ahead of 3rd place Missouri. Need to stick the landings on the vault.
I'm going to miss the first part of the softball game and I can't record it since it's on on SEC+. But I wanted to watch gymnastics live since it's more important.
