How many months do we have to wait with the fingers of both hands crossed behind our backs before we are to learn if AC and RC will return?
Further evidence we need another big (above 260 lbs) who can put the ball on the floor and drive to the hoop.
If Clayton and Richard took the declare-and-get-evaluated route last year and returned to UF, I think finger-crossing over Chinyelu is very unnecessary.
I'm going to assume all 3 front court players are getting feedback with plans to return and they will.
If Chinyelu leaves, it would be to go overseas. He is just getting feedback on his game from pro teams.
Needs to follow the latter with the option to return. He struggles guarding on the perimeter usually resulting in a foul, and he needs a lot of work offensively in developing a mid range game and a go to back to the basket move.
Guys like him don't need an offensive game at the next level. No one is going to want him shooting jumpers or getting post touches. He sets screens and seals, finishes with dunks off pick and rolls/slips, attacks the offensive glass, and defends/rebounds at the other end. He is actually pretty good at most of that. Not sure he will ever develop into an offensive option, but in many respects the rest of his game is already where it needs to be given his size, strength, energy, and physicality. Fortunately, his family values education very highly and he wants to be a physician, so I don't see him bolting until he is closer to a degree. If he stood a chance to make really big cash overseas, it might be a different story, but I'm willing to bet his NIL would be comparable to any overseas offer.
Okay I will be the voice of reason. I am the person you all should listen to. Please!!! Bunch of ignorant ingrates...
It's a good idea for Reuben to go through the process, get an NBA evaluation so he knows where he stands and what he has to work on to improve his draft status.
Does not matter what we think . It is all about his future. He has athleticism to play professionally.. somewhere
