Seems they’re actively looking. Seems odd considering they have multiple 4*’s on roster. From 96Gatorsize’s link above:

I would definitely have representation and have no problem with my parents being part of that. At this point every damn one of them would be fired and I would still be at Tennessee

I read Tenn already paid the majority of the original deal. Is that possible?

Why wouldn’t it be? It would be stupid, but not impossible. Majority of these deals are pretty stupid as it is.

That makes it worse. He could have played out the year and could have gotten a ransom his senior year from TN or just about anyone.

Should have said, I believe I read he was paid the majority of the agreed-to deal before he even arrived on campus originally. No idea if true.

I like the idea of a salary cap but not sure that will ever happen. 18 year olds being paid $1 million plus makes no sense to me but I can understand why it's great for them. Thought I read one HC is suggesting NIL deals should have buyouts. Why wouldn't they? Any stipulation that is normal in an NFL deal should be included in NIL. There is so little information available re NIL deals, structure and payout terms and sometimes it feels like NIL agreements aren't reached with a program's best interest and protection built in. But again, I don't know. And yes, looking back, the formation of "NIL" was going to be nothing but trouble.

NFL deals are paying players to play football. NIL deals are (generally)paying players to make off the field appearances. The way these contracts are written are not similar in the slightest way. NFL has a cba with the players union that has agreed upon slots and terms. Both sides have a somewhat equal say in negotiations. With NIL deals, the players hold almost all the cards. Why would they sign deals that limit them being able to do what they want? If you try to force something like that, they’ll just go somewhere else that isn’t forcing it.

You have to have salaries before you can have a salary cap. The courts have already said a cap on NIL isn’t happening. It doesn’t happen in the NFL either.

What’s even worse is he redshirted the first year so he got $2 million or whatever to only play the bowl game that year

Its all that matters in court. The system is a complete farce to keep the schools out of responsibility.
