This is true. What we need from our bigs next year is at least 1-2 reliable scorers. Haugh will likely be one and hopefully Condo the other. We had the luxury this year of being able to rely on our experienced guards when we needed a bucket. I really hope Condo can improve his finishing around the rim. If he polishes that part of his game he should be a 55%FG big who can get us 14-16 a game.
Sounds about right. Both could use another year and with what they both bring to the table they should be fishing in a new boat with all that NIL money
The best part about having those 3 is that we actually CAPITALIZED on them and won it all. Certainly a hell of a lot better than having a dream backcourt and not winning. It’s more than worth losing all 3, and one heck of a sendoff. Whatever happens next year is gravy (until the season starts and i place unrealistic expectations on them)
A quick search took me to this site-- https://247sports.com/season/2025-basketball/transferportaltop/ A.J. is ranked 166th by 247. By comparison, Lee is ranked 26th. Updated on 4/17. For some reason, A.J. is now 171st. New names must have been added to the list.
The staff? What has the staff done recently? That NC thingy was SO long ago. We have to get back to the present!!!
As much fun as this team was to behold, methinks the makeup of next year's team is going to be quite different, and I don't mean the players who have moved on and who will be taking their place. I mean we could have one damn magical front court. And I still say, until I see it otherwise in the fall, Golden is going to tinker with a 2-3 zone defense. If they can play Condo - Hands - Rioux and then put a Haugh or any other decent sized guards playing perimeter defense, HOLY CRAP!!!
And he chose to sit in front instead of letting someone right behind him to switch seats? HARD PASS!!! Okay, maybe he wasn't paying attention...
