There's rumors on twitter that Pitino has absolutely zeroed in on this guy after realizing Golden was after him and after losing Clayton to Golden under similar circumstances. The twitter rumor mill (which came from a very substantiated account with a long history of posting good info about St Johns) is that basically Pitino told Lee to name his price. So that's what might be sparking this price.

Just getting back on site for the first time since we won. I wanted to express that I'm still in awe of that closeout by Clayton to end the game. When Smart caught the pass and turned to shoot, I was convinced we were in the process of giving up a wide open 3-point shot to a player known for making big shots.

The makeup speed Clayton showed to stop that potential game-losing shot made me think: "Now I know why he was a highly touted defensive back prospect with closing speed like that!" Any chance we can get him to suit up with the football team this fall?

Haugh's earlier shot block and fast break 3-point play was also pretty special!


Saw Clayton interview on Good Morning America in which he mentioned he hadn't declared yet. Anyone know what he meant?

Mindboggling, epic run by the Gators to close out the season.

 

I knew the team could be poised for a title run, but actually watching it happen after going through the SEC gauntlet was amazing. All of the unbelievable comebacks in the NCAA tournament en route to the title is darn near legendary (especially the last 3 games). This season will definitely be at the top of my Gator Sports memories.

 

Is this thread going to be put someplace so we can go back and stroll through when we need to be reminded?
