This is the way around all the FEDERAL immunities these bad actors enjoyed when they were part of Biden's administration. You really need to explain how a Federal investigation works, and how that intersects / overlaps with a state AG wanting to do his own investigation.

 

This is a little confusing to me. If the DOJ link is correct, Routh was indicted by the Feds back in September. So now Florida is filing official charges almost three months after Trump took office?

It's not like the guy was roaming free or the Biden DOJ was dragging their feet on charging him - he was already indicted by the Biden DOJ last September. Seems most likely they didn't want the Florida AG messing up their case rather than stone-walling them because "Biden is a scumbag."

I, too, am confused on what the motive would be for stonewalling this.

 

The FBI lead the initial investigation with the Palm Beach Sheriffs office also involved. But this was the FBI's show, and their jurisdiction first and foremost. How much the FBI was willing to share with the PB Sheriffs was up to the FBI. And the Florida AG complaining about road blocks without any examples, or the Feds response is nothing but whining. The Feds often have good reasons to keep the locals at arms length during an initial investigation, and after the Feds press charges, which they did, allow the locals more access.

To summarize, calling a person a childish and insulting name in a title is bad, but in the OP is OK.

 

The general lack of detail we know about Ryan Routh or Thomas Crooks leads us to only one of two possible conclusions that I can think of:

1. the investigations are being stonewalled
2. Crooks & Routh exposed some glaring vulnerabilities that will no doubt be exploited again in the future in terms of staying off the grid.

The fact of the matter is, the less we know about Crooks & Routh, the worse off we are. Regardless of whether you hate or love Donald J. Trump. Any effort to slow the investigations is a massive, massive mistake and a dubious one, to be clear.
