Did any of our players pull a Joakim Noah and say "Lets do it in football now"??? Guess they can do it tomorrow at the celebration.

Pretty sure he said that at the O&B game so we have until then. Hopefully someone let's the team know about it. Can't hurt to make another prophecy.

You give me too much credit.
    1. Watch national title
    2. The TV stayed on
    3. Never left the coach and posted on my phone
    :D

You also seem to have forgotten UF NC history
    2006: first Donovan then Meyer
    2025: first Golden then ?????

I would love to see history repeat itself

The NC game was over a day ago. That is SO old news. I won't spend my time living in the past like I am a Notre Dame fan...or an FSU fan. Unless I see in the next two days he has signed the three best transfer guards who will give us one year to repeat what the '04s did, he will essentially be a has-been and we may as well plan on bringing Mike White back. I mean, why spend time living in the past when the future is waiting?

And so I say to you Todd, just so that I speak for each and every Gator basketball fan...

Billy Napier Faces Increased Pressure in 2025 Due to Todd Golden Success

Todd Golden just raised the bar for Billy Napier to impossible heights. The Florida basketball coach, without a single five-star recruit on his roster, just delivered the Gators’ first national championship since 2007. Now Napier’s got a problem — championship expectations in Gainesville have gone nuclear.

I agree, I posted the above for discussion was in the process of posting my follow up:
I do agree that Billy needs to make sure the team is coached better and we don't take self inflicted losses as has been the case in years past. But Football is so much more complex, just consider the roster requirements, over a hundred in football and 15 tops for a basketball squad. Recruiting, NIL and coaching considerations are much more far reaching. Could say a lot more here but I think most understand there is huge difference in turning around these 2 programs. An example would be when LeBron decided to take his talents to South Beach and what happened after that.
My point is, demanding a championship or even championship game appearance is far fetched. I would love to see us in the SECCG but IMO Billy is safe with a solid improvement.

    That's just silly.
Completely different sports, completely different situations.
Does this mean EVERY sport in Gainesville now should win an NC??
Shouldn't baseball then win most games and an NC? And they are having a terrible year.
What about women's b-ball, what about track, what about volleyball?

If each sport doesn't win THIS YEAR, will their coaches be fired?
Since, you know, Todd Golden won?

Don't get me wrong- Napier needs to improve.
Our games vs. Miami and TAMU were inexcusable. Not the losses- but the way we came out flat, at home.
    Looking like the keystone cops.

But to say last year's football improvement wasn't at all due to coaching is also really idiotic.

It demonstrates that turning a program around and changing the culture doesn’t take half a decade.

If you are referring to a culture of winning championships, then I agree...otherwise our culture during the previous basketball administration was good.

If anything, it helps prove that UF is still okay with providing the resources needed for a program to win a NC.
