It is worth noting the etymology of Flavet Field. Properly spelled, it is FlaVet. After the 2d World War, war UF built 3 married student housing "villages", one of which is where FlaVet field is today and because so many of the residents were veterans of WW2 on the GI Bill, it was known as Florida Vet Village shortened to Fla Vet and then it became FlaVet and now Flavet. Pretty neat.
