This is a community of great fans. And I’ve always felt fans are the life blood of any program. And so- congrats to the NBN community - the fans who exert their time, money, energy, emotions … and sanity on the beloved hoops program! I’m ecstatic… and I’m sure everyone else feels the same! What fun season and a great group! Thanks for all the hoops talk! Go Gators!
Greatest board in sports…. Of course none of us had any doubts, in all 6 games. In All Kinds of Weather Them Gator Boys stayed hot
Yep love that Mike White is at Georgia. Ensures they are never anything more than what they were this year. A mediocre team that might upset an occasional good team but will then lose to a team they have no business losing to. And they'll never truly threaten us while Golden is here. Hope Georgia has fun with their NIT's and first round NCAA losses. And with Georgia being a hot spot in the south for good basketball players, we will easily be able to beat Georgia for any player we truly want.
they probably had the orange and blue leftover from the Knicks or Mets or Islanders but pretty cool!!
This is the type of run that can change things. It's not just a coach. It's not just a group of recruits. We are a 3X national title winning program. Showed up proud with a massive showing in San Antonio. What a time to be a part of Gator Basketball! Have to keep building on this great foundation!
I love basketball. It’s been a huge part of my life. I remember staying up and watching Bird and Magic playing against each other in what was one of the most anticipated matchup in 79. I had dreams of playing in the greatest tournament ever created. I never got that D1 offer, but played for a juco up north with hopes that someone would take a chance on a 6’2” shooting guard. It never happened. My parents retired in Florida just outside of Gainesville and I followed. I quickly adopted the Gators as my team after seeing them beat UK in 1984 at our place and enrolled in school in the fall. I knew football was king here, but went and cheered the basketball team getting to know several of the players after playing pickup ball against them. The majority of them were good guys. I am now a 60 year old guy, who loves the school and the sport to death, even with all the nonsense that has taken over college athletics. I really felt good about this team because Golden had done a masterful job in putting the pieces together. The end result was one of the greatest season ever in the history of sports at UF. I will cherish this for the rest of my years. I am so thankful for being involved with a great school, great program, the players and coaches who poured the heart and soul to achieve the ultimate goal, and lastly all the fans and people on this board who love Gator basketball.
