I’m concerned because I thought we matched up better with HU then Duke

 

Kudos to game thread posters. Not a lot of piling on. At least, not by the fine folks I haven't blocked.

 

I feel good, fellas. Checking in with NBN. Fix the turnovers and we win easily. We matching their physicality fine. Just need to settle down and make some shots. Thank God for Richard.

Some of their misses weren’t even in the same arena.

 

9 turnovers to 2, yet only down 3. Again we struggle with turnovers in the first half. Limit those and start to break their defense down.

 

To be fair we have missed quite a few wide open 3s too

 

Houston would be in foul trouble if they were calling fouls normally. This is pretty weird given how the remaining tournament was called.

These refs are letting them play, unless it's an obvious foul, they are not inserting themselves into this game.
Therefore, our bigs have to hold their ground and stop their bigs backing us to the rim. Why is it time and time again our players get backed into the rim giving our opponent an easy bank shot.

 

We are out rebounding them , UF 22 uh 19

 

Maybe, Auburn beat them earlier in the year.

 

That was a good point pre-game, if Houston winds up with 8+ more shots, they win.

 

They can’t keep up with us for 40 minutes. I wished we got them in more foul trouble, but I think we are fine. They can’t keep this pace. It’s faster than they would like.
