Well, this year, he's already beaten . . . . Dan Hurley John Calipari Rick Barnes Bruce Pearl Nate Oates Chris Beard Buzz Williams
You forgot Hubert Davis? How can that be? He is the coach of the fabled UNC Magical, Mighty Fighting Tar Babies. Okay, maybe we can exclude him this time. But wait till next year. He/they will be BACK!!!
Well for starters Todd never illegally paid players, lied about it to investigators, lied about it to his own compliance office, had to resign from a historic blue blood program in shame, and got a 5 year show cause. For starters. I dont forgive guys like Sampson, because they are what finally drove Billy to the NBA. And while I like Bruce Pearl more as a person than I did previously, I still dislike him as a coach because I feel the same about him.
Sampson's been around the block a few times so he has that old school experience on Golden. I just hope our players know how to handle the street fighters they will face in Houston, because Sampson knows how to get dirty... so does his team. Go Gators!
Of a fan of both schools i really want to see Fla offense against Houston’s defense and how they match up. The closest team to Houston’s d is Tennessee sooo … go gators! I live in ga
And let's not forget, Florida was likely cost a Final Four (Louisville -2012? E8 I think it was) and a National Title (Ollie - UConn) because of ineligible and dirty programs/coaches.
Good point. We have played some dirty teams this year; like FSU and Ole Miss. We can only hope the officials don’t allow the incessant pushing, grabbing, etc. we see so often but we know they will. The two Texas Tech bigs and Broome didn’t get called for pushing their big butts into low, post positions. Condon, Chin, and Hough have no recourse but to keep their positions as best they can while getting pushed hard. But, I don’t believe Houston has these kind of post up low players that I’ve seen. We effectively held Broome to 3 pts in 2nd half because we forced him to go to his right, not one of his strengths. I believe failing to do this in the 1st half is why Golden chewed their butts at halftime. It has a lot to do with our victory Sat night.
The coaches should teach our bigs how and when to "matador" the other guy when they are so forcefully backing our guys down. At just the right time, step aside and watch them fall to the floor.
Yes and in the case of Broome, whisper in his ear, we are going to force you to go to your right, you know you can’t do that, we know you can’t do that, so give it your best shot before we sweep you off the floor…
That is fine. Personally, I kind of like this method better: At least it is better than punching out the opposing player on the sidelines. I think...
