I think we are a lock

 

5 of Vandy's runs got on base via the BB.

 

Sully sez:

• walks and HBP killed us
• bases loaded multiple times and couldn't get a hit
• Vandy with bases loaded 0 outs and we got out of it then go down in 8 pitches in out half
• We have to make our own breaks
• Johnson had not walked at all in 11 league games. We walked him twice today.
• 1st 18 games we gave up few walks then we go to TN and it all changed on us.

 

Thank You again @Gatorgal04 for your steadfast support. That was a very ugly weekend of baseball for sure. But I’m sure the players and coaches all are well aware.

Throwing strikes (especially strike 1) and timely hitting can turn things around. Time to take stock in ourselves as a team, suck it up, and play the game like you love it. No excuses, just play the game hard—play the game right.

 

Funny Sully was in Destin Aug of 2024 and said this maybe my best team ever …. Wow, maybe he meant worst

Typical of this year’s team’s inexcusable gaffs. We have a runner on second. Sharply hit ground ball right at the shortstop and our guy heads for third. Only makes it half way when he realizes he is a dead duck. Short rundown and he is tagged up. Don’t see this crap in high school.

 

This team is not well coached

 

cant make excuses for this bad a year so far. not this bad at UF in any year i miss the days of gator elite pitching. post covid its mostly been years of hoping they can make the tournament. this year we might not have even made the d* SEC tournament in last years format. atleast this year we can get in as the 15 or 16 seed.

Doesn't everyone get in the SEC tourney this year, single elimination? Barlow is not good and def not a closer. Not sure what Kopp does to keep his job. No Sproaty, Hurston, and or Cags to bail him out
