    I'm not sure Deifel did her homework. Jocelyn has been struggling more at the plate as of late than Korbe. I would have pitched to her. Glad she didn't.

    That rule was intended for a live ball that goes out of play, like an over-throw into the dugout. They applied the only rule they could find to a situation caused by the ump (not a player) because (imo) they could't figure out anything else to do even though it penalized a team for nothing.
