It aint the Naismith trophy I wanted for Walter (who deserves it over Flagg IMO) but I'll take it.

Let’s go win 2 like Billy’s team did in the 2006 and 2007 final four and let Randall Fag have his participation player of year trophy. Let Pearl and Petino enjoy their tied AP coach of the year trophy. Win 2 more, that’s it! Nuff said. It’s clobbering time.

I had the pleasure of being a Rowdy Reptile while in college 2003-2007. Watching first hand. I'll never forget Billy snapping his clip board in half and sliding it under his chair during a time out because the 04's were slacking. Grew up watching Mike Miller and Haslem team in high school. Coach deserves all the credit in the world. It is about time. Long live Billy Ball!!

It's about time, but I still am not happy what the college basketball world did to him. All those accolades and not one time did the NCAA ever recognize it. It took nearly 2 decades to finally get something. Heck, even the SEC didn't recognize him until 4 years AFTER he won back-2-back titles. I bet there is some part of that that made it easier for him to turn pro. We all work without accolades and awards but would you be a little bit irked if you came up with a cure for a disease and nobody mentioned anything to you from the bigger stage and the award went to a guy who can draw perfect circles? In many ways, it's happening again with Golden. Not even on the list for National COTY and not even on the SEC COTY (Pearl, Calamari, Oats were the only coaches on that list).

Granted, Pearly boy stole the SEC COTY from Donovan in 2006 and he's still looking for hist 1st title game. I guess it's karma, you won an award but have nothing to show for it and it came full circle again with another Gator coach beating you on the court, twice.

He got the biggest ovation by far over coach K (repped 2008 redeem team) and the others with Florida fans erupting when they called his name.

Guarantee that coaches and players would rather win championships. Everything else is subjective.
