Will be interesting to see reading through this thread if there was panic last night. I normally panic, but for some reason was calm in the stadium. Felt like they were the better team despite not playing like it for awhile!

Also wondering this! Other games have been replayable on Max but I'm not finding them anymore, and there's no replay option on Paramount+ either.

 

This is why we have such a great school. The biggest room in the world is the room for self-improvement.

The last time they played Auburn, he had 17 points and 10 rebounds. I am glad his teammates picked up the slack in his numbers. Still, pointing out how uncharacteristic this was of him and how important it is to drill into him that he has to be the first game against Aunurn Condon to bolster our chances against Houston is not overreaching!

He had 5 against UConn, 6 against Maryland, 7 against TTU, and 1 against Auburn. Perhaps you don’t keep track of stats. And perhaps he was not a hundred percent because of his ankle or some other injury or issue.

But it is fair game whether we are winning or losing to point areas of concern.

I am sure as long as we stay humble and in God’s favor we will be fine on Monday. But you have to concede, having the first Auburn game Condo makes it that much easier to prevail.

If he can’t put up those numbers because of an injury and is more of a decoy, then I am sure Golden has addressed this fact to the team. But he hasn’t publicly which is why without such information it is fair to make his significant numbers dip a topic of discussion.

 

He had his way and was worn down in the second half thanks to Condo and others but mostly Condo. In the first game against Auburn, Condo defended against Broome and scored 17 and had 10 rebounds. Brooms had 18 and 11. This game was 1 and 4 for Condo and 15 and 7 for Broome. The game was a lot closer and we trailed much of the game due in part because of our inability to negate Broome’s output with the player principally charged with guarding him.

We actually played Broome better (he was clearly hurt also) but were not able to neutralize even his diminished output with the performance of Condo.

Why Alexis has not been utilized even for a couple of minutes to give opposing Bigs another look and a fresh body is baffling.

I wonder if Alexis will be in the portal next year especially since there will be only one new scholarship position with three departures and two freshmen coming in.

One is a point guard and the other a small forward/wing, but I am sure Golden will want to find someone who might be able to fit in immediately and give us 15-27 points a game. We will be losing 44 points a game in scoring with Clayton, Richard, and Martin all departing. Inserting Haugh and Aberdeen into the starting lineup erases some of the lost production, but then it puts pressure on our bench.

Let’s deal with Houston first and then worry about next year.

 

When you are on the biggest stage of your lif and you get 1 and 4 something is going on. Not only that, he fouled out and had 3 turnovers.
Having three times as many turnovers as points is never good even if you are winning.

 

Agree. If you watch the beginning after Broome hits a fade away and both players reach the other paint...Broome starts a verbal assault in Condons face. Not sure if this has anything to do with the 1st game in February?

 

I normally look them up on YouTube and there’s usually a channel that shows the full game. At the very least there will be one with all the major plays.

However, why did auburn player do the:call me phone " thing gesture all the time?
I think their " phone call" got disconnected at the end.
Broome wouldn't have " fit" our team..( I see he is from Plant City Fl)
